As you launch into 2020, consider fortifying your foundation with self-discipline. Many people cringe when they hear the word, “discipline,” but take a look at the root, “disciple,” because it is related to mentor or coach. We’ve all experienced how the right coach brings out the best in us and self-discipline is an integral part on becoming the best we can be in our goals.
One of the most effective changes you can make in your daily routine is deciding what to do MORE of—and what to do LESS of. Recent studies have shown that the average employee only works for only three and a half hours in the typical work eight-hour workday—yikes! However, it gives you a clue that we all can make rapid improvement with self-discipline.
What are your time wasters? Social media? TV? Make a list of the activities you know you need to do more of, and a list of the things you should be doing less of. By doing so and establishing more self-discipline in your daily routine, you will fortify your foundation and realize your goals far more rapidly.
